At Phases® Skin Care & Laser Center, we’re dedicated to your comfort and aesthetic goals. During your initial consultation at our Carmel, Indiana office, we’ll discuss what to expect during a Microlaser peel, including any sensations you experience during the procedure. For your comfort, we will apply a topical anesthetic before your treatment. Most of our patients tell us that a Microlaser peel feels like sparks on the skin. Afterward, you can expect a sensation similar to that of an intense sunburn, which typically resolves after an hour or two.
During your consultation for a Microlaser Peel, we will review everything you need to know! This includes any potential downtime you should expect after a Microlaser peel. Healing time can vary greatly between individual patients depending on the treatment depth. In general, you can expect to be able to return to normal activities within a week of your treatment.
After just one Microlaser Peel, you’ll notice an improvement in the treated area. We may advise some patients to undergo a series of treatments to achieve a gradual improvement. If you and your aesthetician decide that a series of treatments is more appropriate, we usually recommend scheduling them every 6 to 8 weeks, or as needed.
