Dr. Specht’s interest in medicine began early in his life; he was fortunate to be mentored by some exceptional surgeons, including our very own, Dr. Janet Turkle. This mentorship played a pivotal role in shaping his career and igniting his passion for plastic surgery. He was drawn to the field not only for its creativity but also for its ability to make a profound impact on patients’ lives. Dr. Specht finds immense satisfaction in helping his patients feel better about themselves, enabling them to live more fully and comfortably.
In addition to his civilian practice, Dr. Specht also serves in the US Air Force. His military service has enriched his professional life, providing him with unique experiences and lessons that he brings to his surgical practice. The discipline, dedication, and attention to detail required in the Air Force are qualities that Dr. Specht applies to his work at Turkle & Associates, ensuring that his patients receive the highest standard of care.
When Dr. Specht isn’t working as a plastic surgeon near Indianapolis, he spends his free time with his wife, K.C., and their three children: Emma, Adeline, and Gage. Family time often involves coaching his kids in sports or working together on their home garden. Dr. Specht is also an avid golfer, snowboarder, and duck hunter, enjoying these activities whenever he gets the chance.
