Dr. Janet Turkle, MD
Before founding our practice in 1993, Dr. Janet Turkle began her storied career at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. While there, she also completed her residency in general surgery. Dr. Turkle then discovered her passion for aesthetic care, pursuing specialized training in plastic surgery at Indiana University Medical Center.
After graduating, Dr. Turkle earned prestigious dual board certifications from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. This achievement is no small feat, and speaks to Dr. Turkle’s commitment to ongoing education and best practices in the field.
At the conclusion of her rigorous education and training, Dr. Turkle opened Turkle & Associates, creating a space where people throughout Indiana could find intentional, transparent care. Today, Dr. Turkle continues to practice this collaboration and empathy with each patient, from consultation through recovery.
Along with maintaining her dual board-certification and active professional memberships, Dr. Turkle has received nominations as a Top Doc among her peers and patients. Year after year, Dr. Turkle remains proud to serve her community and make a profound impact on patients’ lives.
Dr. Brandon C. Specht, DO
Dr. Turkle’s mentorship inspired one of our other leading plastic surgeons in Indianapolis, Dr. Brandon Specht, early in his medical career.
After completing his degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Specht went on to train in general surgery at Grandview Medical Center and plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Like his mentor, Dr. Specht achieved dual board certifications in each of these fields, a testament to his dedication to maintaining the highest possible surgical standards.
Today, Dr. Specht practices surgery at Turkle & Associates and in the U.S. Air Force, where he delivers attentive, authentic care. Per Dr. Specht, “seeing and fulfilling patients’ expectations is one of the greatest joys of being a doctor.”
